Glenner’s Town Square is a faux mini-town, a retro of the ’50s and ’60s. It features an indoor, interactive urban environment utilizing Reminiscence Therapy. The first one is scheduled to open in San Diego in 2018. And now the Glenner’s Town Square is expanding to 100 locations around the country.
From Lisa Tyburski, Director of Business Development:
“George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc.®, a non-profit organization, announced an exclusive development partnership today with San Diego based developer, Village Holdings, LLC. The development agreement is anticipated to bring Town Square to one hundred (100) locations around the nation. Town Square has received international recognition as an affordable Adult Day Program model specializing in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The program focuses on the use of Reminiscence Therapy by recreating a 1950s/1960s city inside of a building. The replica city will be built by Village Holdings, LLC utilizing designs and construction support of the San Diego Opera Scenic Studio. The first Town Square will be located in Chula Vista, California and is scheduled to open in spring, 2018.”
Congratulations to everyone at the George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc.
