Memoir Moment: Beer at Southwestern Yacht Club

During our Tuesday outing, BJ had a thirst for a beer at a marina. We both longed for a water view with boats. So we headed to Pt. Loma and landed at Southwestern Yacht Club. We wandered into the restaurant and thought we’d take a peek at the nautical view. Low and behold, the waiter agreed to seat us and had a yacht club member host us as his guest, so BJ could order her beer. The waiter treated BJ like royalty–and could not have been more considerate. That act of kindness made my day and I’d like to think that all our nonagenarians are treated with such honor and respect.

Have you hugged a nonagenarian today?
